What if your students had a place where writing was something they looked forward to? A place filled with stories, writing adventures, creative exercises, music, videos and activities designed to get kids thinking, imagining, laughing ...and most importantly, writing?
That's what the Young Authors is all about. It's engaging and it's simple.
Once your school joins, you're in. It's more than a membership, it's a partnership. Unlimited possibilities. No yearly renewals.
There are two ways to sign up:
TIER 1 — The Simple Start, $1 Per Student. It's That Easy.
For just $1 per student based on the size of your school or your district (if you'd like all of the schools in your district to participate), your students receive access to the Young Authors website and its growing collection of writing resources. It's an easy, affordable way to bring Young Authors into your school or district and give your students (and teachers) a special place to read, think, imagine, and write.
TIER 2 — The Young Authors Connection, Our Recommended Membership.
*K–2 Classrooms: $120 per classroom *Grades 3–6 Classrooms: $140 per classroom
With Tier 2, your membership fee simply goes towards the purchase of a set of books for each classroom.
Why? Because the writing lessons on the Young Authors website aren't just random activities. They come from the books. Students can encounter an idea on the website and then open the book. They can meet the character, learn about the Author's Purpose and then write their own story. They can watch a lesson and then put pencil to paper.
The books and the website work together. That's the connection.
